Matthew 22: 34-40

34But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sad'ducees, they came together. 35And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, to test him. 36"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" 37And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38This is the great and first commandment. 39And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets."

What Touched my Soul

Today during our prayers we should thank God for this episode written in Matthews gospel. It is a great teaching from Jesus, don't you agree?

Jesus make it very simple and clear for us. Jesus resumes all the law in two large commandments: “...love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind... love your neighbor as yourself.”

wow!!! Is this all? someone less wise may say.

Although how do we do that? How do we manage to love our neighbor as ourselves? How do we manage to love God other anyhting? how do we human sinners willfind a place for God Above all the actual “gods” we have in our lives?

how will we transform Jesus words into action?

Let us pray to Jesus , man and God, for the wisdom to understand how we can turn our lives into the new Way. Let us pray to our Lord Jesus Christ, thanking Him for this teaching an pray for Jesus interception to allow us love our neighbours no matter what are the circumstances And love God above all.
