Marc, 7: 24-30
And from there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And he entered a house and did not want anyone to know, yet he could not be hidden. But immediately a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit heard of him and came and fell down at his feet. Now the woman was a Gentile, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter. And he said to her, “Let the children be fed first, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.” But she answered him, “Yes, Lord; yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.” And he said to her, “For this statement you may go your way; the demon has left your daughter.” And she went home and found the child lying in bed and the demon gone.
What touched my Soul
the faith of this gentile woman is admirable.
”...even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.”
and Jesus rewarded her faith with what she asked.
we shouldn't be afraid to ask confort and help from God. ”even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs”.
When during troubling times we think ask God for mercy we should recall this woman that lost the fears and trusted in Jesus. She knew in her heart He was special, He was capable of incredible things. She had faith. And asked for a miracle. And her voice was heard.
Jesus listens to our heart. If we ask Jesus to help us in our tribulations, He will help us like He did to this woman.
We just need to ask, and trust, believe and know that if it’s God’s will, for God’s glory He will do what we ask.
the faith of this women should be a lesson to us.
”...even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.”
