Luke 9: 22-25
The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.”
Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus.
And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?
What touched my Soul
“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
it’s not a easy task to take our cross and follow Jesus. the problem is not follow Jesus. The problem is the cross.
we all have one.
and we are weak.
on the first sign of serious problem we tent to quit. Abandon the cross on the road and run.
bit we will not be free. We will some point get another cross.
what Jesus asks us is a radical step.
Jesus asks us to face our problems. Face the difficulties. Trust Him and keep going.
life is not all about great thing and happiness, we all know that, but wha t we need to learn from our Master is to look at Him. Observe how He conquered His cross and faced it without fear.
May He be our inspiration and a guide on our journey with our crosses. May beg Jesus to have a tenth of His courage, His sense of mission and deliver our crosses through life following Him, His example, His teachings
happy Lent
