Luke 14:1-6

1One sabbath when he went to dine at the house of a ruler who belonged to the Pharisees, they were watching him. 2And behold, there was a man before him who had dropsy. 3And Jesus spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not?" 4But they were silent. Then he took him and healed him, and let him go. 5And he said to them, "Which of you, having a son or an ox that has fallen into a well, will not immediately pull him out on a sabbath day?" 6And they could not reply to this.

What touched my Soul

Jesus cured on a saturday.

Obviously I'm not a jew so I'm not to much worried about the cure on a Sabbath but for a jew it was a very strong point that Jesus made.

As a believer in Jesus I must confess it imprrssed me His boldness in.a very positive way. He challenged the established rules and showed us the path.

How are we christians, people who believe in Jesus and in His teachings, following His lead and challenge the world we live in? How are we challenging our comunities, our friends, our family, our work colleagues to "cure our dropsy".

Let's pray to the Lord today and ask Him to give us the courage to change the status quo in our comunitirs for the good of our neigbour. Ask Him to help us strive through the dificulties and follow His teachings ans example.
