John 6:44-51

44No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. 45It is written in the prophets, `And they shall all be taught by God.' Every one who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. 46Not that any one has seen the Father except him who is from God; he has seen the Father. 47Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. 48I am the bread of life. 49Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. 51I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh."

What touched my Soul

”I say to you, he who believes (in me) has eternal life.”

So, another lesson from Jesus in what we need to do to share His table. Along the last weeks since Easter the church is driving us to realize that to be part of the Kingdom we “just“ need to believe. But what does to believe mean? Is it that simple? Just believe? Or by believing we have the responsibility to live what we believe? Paul and James have different views on it. Paul tell us we need live what we believe. James tell us that believing is what we need to be part of His kingdom.

The point is both agree that believe is the basis for salvation, and that is something we need to stick to through out our entire life.

I would like to end todays reflection with a question for you all. Believe in Christ, believe He is the son of God will save is and make us be part of His table. Will it also make us part of His suffering?
