Matthew 5: 17-19

17"Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. 18For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. 19Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

What touched my Soul

“I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them.”

Jesus fulfilled all prophecies.

Jesus is the messiah the hebrew people was waiting for.

Maybe not the warrior king in the way they were waiting for (a kind of Zealot) but even though A King.

What always amazed me is despite all the signs many still recognise Him.

I tend to believe that on Jesus days in this earth they didn't recognise Him because of their “hardness of heart”, the so human feeling of fear of loosing power and influence. The so human feeling (driven from the original sin) of jealousy, make the threat to our way of life disappear ... and i could keep naming all the dark human feelings...

Fortunately many of us recognise and worship Him. Many of us try the best possible, considering our human condition, to live the closest possible to His teachings.

and to me this is the most important lesson from this reading. Jesus is the son of God made Human and the cornerstone of Christianism that fulfilled all prophecies.

Christianism without believing in Christ the son of God and have faith in him is not Christianism Is something else.
