Luke, 6: 36-38

36Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. 37"Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; 38give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back."

What touched my Soul

This teaching comes in the sequence of the last week Gospel teachings.

God ask us to forgive our enemies. Repent and confess our faults. Go reconcile with our neighbour before present ouselves to the Lord’s table.

Today Jesus tell us that the measure we have with our brothers and sisters will be the measure our Father will have with us.

“Be merciful”.

These are two ideas added to our “list“ of preparation teachings during this Lent.

The church is helping us in this walk to the Ressurection. is helping us turn into a better christian.

This readings and this challenging teachings from Jesus guide us to change our hearts and our lives.

The next and most important step is Our responsibility. Learn and be aware of the teachings is awesome although what really matters is the way this teachings change our lifes.

Are we doing what it takes to follow this Jesus teachings? Are we changing our lifes?

Are we being merciful to our neighbours? Are we not judging? Not condemning?

Let us thank our Lord for all He is giving us in this Lent. The gift of life, our families, our friends, our jobs but also thank for the lessons we are taking feom this Lent’s readings.

Let‘s ask our Lord to give us the wisdom to live His teachings in our daily life and to have the courage to forgive our neighbour’s offences and take the step into reconciliation.
