Luke 18; 9-14

9He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others: 10"Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, `God, I thank thee that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I get.' 13But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, `God, be merciful to me a sinner!' 14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for every one who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."

What touched my Soul

Today Jesus teach us a very important lesson we should keep with us in our life: humility.

“every one who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."

The Pharisee and the Publican. How many times in our lives we are like the Pharisee? So full of ourselves. Extremely proud of what we do, what we achieved and own. So proud that we see ouselves so much above the others. How many times we forget that all we do and have is by the grace of God. And sometimes when we forget God remind us. Remind us bringing us to the right place we should be: a mere servant, loved by God for what we are and not for what we achieve and own.

Lets thanks God for His infinite love and mercy.

Lets ask Jesus in this day the presence of spirit to realize when we not being humble.

Lets ask Jesus the grace of being more like the Publican in recognising and repenting our sins.
